It’s loaded with 710 calories (370 from fat), making it one of the highest-calorie meals we’ve tried. If you’re on a diet, you’ll definitely want to pass it by. This is a meal that shows off a lot of really smart choices on the part of Devour. The pasta is spiral-shaped, which is arguably the superior pasta shape.

These bacon bits are also amazing - they’re large, chewy, and jam-packed with flavor. The white cheddar sauce has a rich, smokey flavor, which pairs incredibly well with the bacon bits. The White Cheddar version far surpasses it in this area this meal looks amazing.Īnd it tastes amazing as well. The only real problem we had with the Buffalo Chicken dish was that it wasn’t pretty to look at. We dove in with high expectations, and even so, this frozen meal impressed us on every level. Since the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese was such a big hit, we decided to try another of their macaroni dishes, the White Cheddar Mac & Cheese with Bacon. You might even call it our new obsession. We were talking to Mike’s parents about it and they were intrigued.We’ve only recently discovered the Devour line of frozen foods, but after trying the unparalleled Buffalo Mac & Cheese, we wanted to try every meal Devour makes. Honestly, not that Christmas in November has any trouble selling, but I could see something like Devour being a way easier entry for people. I do absolutely love Christmas in November, but the vibe of Devour is so different, more casual, less intensive programming, and really a fraction of the cost of CIN, which makes it an event that I think could be a way bigger sell to people than Christmas in November might be.

  • And the fact that you likely won’t ever go to an event quite like this anywhere else (well, unless you go to the actual Devour festival in Wolfville lol, which is a WAY bigger festival, and features a ton of celebrity chefs!) You can go to a film festival and there might be food and drinks there, but where else can you go to a film festival where the food and drinks are inspired by the film-which are inspired by FOOD!Īs someone who has been to (and LOVED) Christmas in November, going to something like Devour! was an interesting comparison.

The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is the first to host a Devour spin-off event in Alberta, something they thought could work really well here given how successful Christmas in November is each year. All of the events include a lot of food, a lot of wine, and really great, curated food films.Īnother cool feature of the festival is that a lot of the food that attendees get to eat is inspired by the films!
